Debbie has been teaching golf for over 30 years. She has given thousands of lessons to all ages and abilities from ages 3 to 83. She produced and directed "Logical Golf for Women" an instructional video that gained worldwide distribution, hundreds of women have benefited from this easy 3 step approach to the game by participating in Logical Golf for Women classes. "I am looking forward to bringing my expertise and fun approach to the game of golf to Monument Hill C.C."
After working at Dick's Sporting Goods for the last 7 years I am really excited to get back to teaching outdoors. It is great being back in Colorado after a brief stay in Wisconsin. My approach to teaching is to work with my students to devise a plan to help them reach their goals on the course. I believe in utilizing fitness, course management, nutrition, and a lot of FUN and laughs to make this game LOGICAL and attainable for those that want to participate. I have lots of new and exciting programs that I am looking forward to sharing with the members at Monument Hill C.C.
A little about me: I graduated from The University of New Mexico, where I grew up in Albuquerque, NM. I played on the golf team, and later TRIED to play on the LPGA tour. I was fortunate enough to qualify for and play in the US Women's Open in 1983. I have served as the Executive Director of the First Tee of New Mexico, I have also been a high school and college golf coach. Both my daughters graduated from Douglas County High School in Castle Rock, and went on to play college golf at The University of Wyoming. I still do play competitive golf with my peers in the LPGA Teaching and Club Professionals Division and was able to win my division of our National Tournament in 2012. I was the Teaching Professional at Perry Park C.C., and also at the Meridian Learning center in Denver, before going to work for Dick's Sporting Goods in 2007.
